William Everett Announces Named a 2023 Golden Trumpet Award Recipient for Its Work on the COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach Campaign
[Chicago, IL] – William Everett is excited to announce that they have been selected as one of the distinguished Golden Trumpet Awards recipients, recognized for their work on the COVID-19 Vaccine Outreach Campaign with the City of Chicago Department of Public Health. “We are so thrilled and humbled to receive this award,” said CEO and Founder Ellen Turner, “Our team worked tremendously hard alongside our City partners during a very difficult time for our city. We’re honored that the Publicity Club of Chicago recognizes the work of dedicated consultants.”
William Everett provided critical support for community-based organizations (CBOs) tasked with reaching all 77 neighborhoods of the City of Chicago with the lifesaving COVID-19 vaccine. The firm is receiving the award in the category “Innovative Support for Community Organizations” because of its efforts to provide organizational support, project management, and communications assistance.
The firm’s objective in the work was to equip CBOs with the tools, processes, and procedures they needed to be successful. Notably, during the most crucial period of this engagement (December 2021-June 2022), the City’s overall vaccine uptake rate for ages five and up increased by about 6%. That growth rate was surpassed in 44 out of 52 community areas supported by this initiative and the work of the Community Engagement team. This demonstrates that hyperlocal, community-led initiatives can be effective and that supporting the community can have a monumental impact.
The Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC) will hold its annual ceremony on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the historic Harold Washington Library’s Winter Garden in downtown Chicago. The Golden Trumpet Awards is one of the Midwest’s most prestigious awards programs, celebrating remarkable individual performance in communications, marketing, and public relations.
